what is it??? is it a mold? for what? a cake? a candy mold? because why would you want a relief in sand of a fred flinstone knock-off? frank flipstone. its odd!
Why would you indeed, but I think that it is exactly that: a sand mold of Fred.

Its a toy from Pebbles Cereal back in the 1980's. I think it is called "Freezee Stone" or something like that. It came with a little plastic stick that allowed kids to create their own pops - chocolate milk, juice, etc...

I've been, for fun, looking for them online - eBay, etc... I loved collecting these as a kid and still have my set: Fred, Barney and Dino.
However, I couldn't find them online so I might be wrong on the name - or they are really rare.
A Google image search on Flintstone + Mold found the drawing.
Wow, thanks again. I'm going to google Flintstone + Mold as well. Is the series limited to the three characters you mentioned? And now I'm wondering if what I found is that old, which is entirely possible because another painting I made of a rubber chick hatching from an egg had a date from the 1960s on it.
Yes, it was just the three. They were each available in yellow, blue and red.
I don't remember when they came out exactly, but it might be the late seventies or early to mid eighties. My guess is early eighties.
The plastic handle had a little notch on the bottom of the handle. This fit into the hole on the mold. So it was held in-place while the contents froze.

OK, but holy sh*t! I'm blown away that not only did you find it (I looked on google and never saw any), but the image shows the cereal box in which it came. This is so AWESOME!!
I saw this on e-bay. I'm not going to bid on it, but it contains a 6-pack of the old Freezy Flintstones. In the case of this auction, the Fred and Dino molds in yellow and blue.
