this is great too, megan. i had to draw a braided headband the other day, i could have really used your eye! i am so impressed. rope/braids/knots are so hard to do! (at least for me!)
Thanks! I hesitated starting this morning because I knew the two ropes would be a lot of work...& they were. Next time Lucky needs me to draw braids for a bag of gold, let me know--ha ha.
Catching up and it is really nice to have several new ones to see. I love the shells and coral and todays rope.
When I walk the tide line there is always more manmade than natural objects, but it is the natural treasures which attract my interest, the same here on wrack line. The huge variety of items, are all are making this an interesting project.
Every day for a year I will post a new painting or drawing of treasures found during beach walks.
On June 26, 2010, South Street Gallery (located in Greenport, Long Island) will exhibit the entire body of work--all 365 pieces. There will be a preview showing the day before the opening. Please visit the gallery's website:
