Had it not been for this and your many other wonderful depictions of rusty objects, I doubt I would have realized how many colors can be found in rust.
This is an antique iron of the type that had to be heated on the stove to iron the clothing. I have several from my grandmother. How did this get on the beach? It must have travelled from a sunken ship somewhere, from the early 1900's...

Salty sea water makes metal objects corrode and rust.
You always make those rusty objects look wonderful.
